50 years of service: "Manfred Hipp is our man for all eventualities!"

In the summer of 2022, Manfred Hipp, the longest-serving employee at HSW, will go into well-deserved retirement after half a century. The 100th anniversary of the company was honored by planting a gifted tree together with the Mayor of Tuttlingen.

The elm tree that HSW shareholder Nina Stackmann symbolically watered together with Tuttlingen’s First Mayor (EBM) Emil Buschle on June 28, 2022 can get up to 400 years old. The tree is a gift from the city of Tuttlingen to Mr. Jochen Busch on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the company, as a thank you for many decades of successful and close cooperation between the city and the company and as a symbol for many more years that HSW will be more successful Tuttlingen employer in front of him.

As a representative of the shareholder family, Nina Stackmann thanked Mayor Buschle very warmly for the generous gift. The elm has been given a place of honor and is now clearly visible on the south side of the property facing the B 311. Meanwhile, our colleague Manfred Hipp is approaching a very personal anniversary. The head of incoming goods will celebrate 50 years of service at HSW at the end of August and then bid farewell to well-deserved retirement. A few weeks before this milestone, Mrs. Stackmann took the opportunity to personally say a few words of thanks and appreciation to HSW's longest-serving employee. A large bouquet of flowers and a crate of red wine complemented the congratulations from the shareholders, management and plant management.

"Manfred Hipp is our man for all eventualities," agreed operations manager Boban Ivanovic, who described Mr. Hipp's long list of tasks and activities. Appreciative words of thanks also came from Mayor Buschle. Manfred Hipp began his apprenticeship as a precision mechanic at HSW in 1972 and has stayed with the company throughout his professional life. He has made the master's degree and trained as a safety specialist and technical environmental specialist. Today he is head of incoming goods and responsible for occupational safety and environmental protection, also for the subsidiary HSW Mikrooptik.
